Sometimes I have conversations that go like this, client “so this isn’t about the food I’m eating”, me “no I don’t think it’s the root cause of the problem, I think it’s happening due to other reasons”, client “so you are saying it’s not that I’m/I’ve got…. (fill in the health or dietary issue here that potentially is happening), but instead it’s because of…….(you can fill in the blank from the list below)…
- stress
- my job
- my family
- my relationship
- wanting to be perfect
- trying to be super human
- trying to do it all
- being a workaholic
- not believing in myself
- my self esteem
- not feeling good enough
- not having enough time
- not putting myself first.
Yes…..
Food for thought, because I find that not all of the health issues have started with the diet, the diet has been a casualty in the emotional issue that has been going on.
What goes on in the mind matters.
